Type 302 refers to a high-quality duck feather grade known for its bulk fill and springy feel. Typically 95% feather with 5% down or finer feather, it’s sorted for medium size and complies with EN 12935 hygiene standards, making it ideal for cushions that need shape and resilience without sag.
This 85/15 blend combines 85% European 302 duck feather with 15% soft duck down. It offers extra loft and a gentler sink compared to pure feather, while still holding shape well. Sorted to industry standards and EN 12935 compliant, it’s a premium fill ideal for back cushions or scatter cushions.
A 70/30 blend offers 70% European 302 duck feather with 30% soft duck down, giving a noticeably softer, more luxurious feel. It retains some structure from the feather while adding more loft and lightness from the down. Fully EN 12935 compliant, it’s perfect for high-end scatter cushions or indulgent back supports.

T Shaped Feather Seat Cushions Perfect for armchairs, chaise pads, window seating & custom T-front benches
Feather Seat Cushions (T-Shape) are specially designed for seating with a front-facing extension — common in armchairs, chaise-style benches, and some window seat layouts. To ensure your new feather cushion fits properly and holds its shape, accurate measuring is essential. Here’s how to get it right and how to care for your T-shaped cushion over time.
When ordering, we size everything based on your empty cushion cover, not the old inner. That’s because feather filling naturally flattens and spreads with use — so your cover gives us the true shape.
You’ll need to take five measurements:
1️⃣ Section A – Max width of cover2️⃣ Section B – Front to back measurement3️⃣ Section C – Border depth4️⃣ Section D – Front to back through of lug 5️⃣ Section E – Along back edge of cushion cover
📝 Lay the cover flat. Do not stretch it, and don’t include piping or decorative edging. Just measure seam to seam.
Our cushions are constructed with internal feather baffles running front to back, including through the extended T-sections. These stitched channels stop the filling from shifting or slumping, keeping the cushion full, balanced, and comfortable — even with daily use.
Each of our Feather Seat Cushions (T-Shape) is handmade to your exact measurements, with the fill density tailored to suit seat use — firmer for support, lighter for comfort.
✅ Made to fit T-shaped covers precisely✅ Includes baffles to stop sagging and clumping✅ Filled with your choice of feather blend✅ Ideal for armchairs, window seats, T-front benches, and chaise seating✅ Crafted to the measurements you provide — no guessing, no gaps
Feather cushions are not hypoallergenic. If allergies are a concern, we recommend our fibre-filled T-shaped cushions — offering similar loft, shape retention, and comfort without the allergens.
Keep your cushion looking and feeling great with these simple steps:
Fluff Daily – Keeps the cushion plump
Shake All Sections – Redistributes feathers evenly
Rotate Where Possible – Maintains shape across all areas
Keep Dry – If it gets damp, air it out thoroughly to avoid mildew
Spot Clean Only – Use mild detergent, allow to fully dry before use
💡 A removable outer cover will help protect your feather cushion and extend its lifespan — especially in high-use areas.
Send us your T-shape cushion cover and we’ll measure and fill it for you. Our free fitting service ensures your Feather Seat Cushion (T-Shape) is perfectly matched to your existing cover — with the right fill, structure, and shape from day one.
